As the son of a Vietnam veteran who passed while I was an early teen, this is a very special day. A day of reflection, a day of remembrance, a day to honor those men and women of the United States of America who have answered the call. A call that sometimes carries impossible odds and unpopular missions, but none the less a call that needed to be answered. It was a beautiful day in Westbrook, Maine to recognize those who had come to pass. In the pictures below are pictured ordinary men and women who answered the call and to this day honor those who never returned or have passed on. They are former POWs, soldiers, mothers, fathers and citizens of this great country. All gave some, and some gave all.

God Bless the Soldier who keeps watch over our freedoms. God Bless the the USA.

Tony,

Great humbling piece and great pictures. Being a Veteran, these events are always special to me. I always look forward to marching in the parade with my dad and the other Vets. You are finally added to my blog. Sorry it took so long. Your site looks great.
